API has been a member of the international Asphalt Institute for 20 years. All API products meet the highest international industry standards for asphalt materials defined by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).<\/p>\n

What a journey. Back in 1998, I, along with a group of young, bright - maybe a little crazy - local entrepreneurs, in partnership with the Barbados National Oil Co. Ltd., started Asphalt Processors Inc. We were pioneers, though we probably didn\u2019t think of ourselves in that manner, we had vision to do what no one else was doing in Barbados at that time. And that pioneering spirit has taken us forward, allowing us to overcome any obstacles that presented themselves.And now here we are, the only company in the region fully-equipped to manufacture, supply, and test one of the highest grades of asphalt on the international market. When I look at what we have achieved, I am encouraged to keep dreaming and breaking new ground for the company, Barbados and our neighbours.<\/p>\n
